Mental health is so important, I consider it a non-negotiable.

The World Health Organization, estimates that more than 300 million people worldwide suffer from depression and 260 million suffer from anxiety disorders—many of whom live with both.

I am personally part of that statistic. I have suffered from depression, and anxiety is something I cope with daily. I’m quite vocal about my anxiety – I know what triggers it and I know what I need to calm myself down.

But I, I know I’m extremely lucky to know how to be able to cope with this in a healthy way and I know that being able to talk about it, is not something everyone can do and that’s okay.

I’m not always strong, I don’t always know the answers, but I vow to always bring light to subjects that are hard and to always be a sounding board to those who are in need of someone to talk to.  Please know that if you are struggling with depression or anxiety, you are not alone.
