I love birthdays more than I love any other holiday Not even just birthday week, but birthday month. For those who really know me, know that I also love FREE.
Yesterday just so happened to be my 32nd birthday. You can bet that I spent the day cashing in on and collecting my birthday freebies.
What are those birthday freebies? Well, I’m glad you asked. And if you didn’t ask – it’s all good because I’m about to tell ya anyway!
Haha! I’m dishing you this list today so that when your birthday rolls around, you can celebrate your special days.
Now, most people know that when you go to a restaurant and tell the staff it’s someone’s birthday, you’re often serenaded by the wait staff with the birthday song and a free slice of cake.
But what if you could skip the embarrassment of the song, get your cake and eat it too? Okay well…maybe not cake -but there’s plenty of restaurants who give you freebies just for your birthday! Now, there are literally dozens upon dozens of restaurants that do this, but I’m just going to hit you with my Top 3 before moving into the next category.
First, Jersey Mikes. Jersey Mikes is my FAVORITE place to go for subs – when you enroll for the free rewards program and let them know your birthday, you get a coupon for a free regular sub AND a drink. You know I for sure hit that up yesterday.
Jersey Mikes isn’t the only sub place to give you a freebie Firehouse subs also gives you a free medium sub the week of your birthday.
Now if subs aren’t your thing, no worries because Moe’s Southwest Grill will hook you up with a free birthday burrito when you sign up for their rockin’ rewards.
Top off your fully belly with a sweet treat – when you sign up for Edible Arrangements Rewards, receive a free 12 count chocolate dipped fruit box during your birthday month.
There are seriously so many more food places – but those are my favs. If you’d rather cash in on your birthday with a physical, non-edible item… don’t worry, because there’s some cool shops that have you covered.
Ulta beauty, Sephora, and Bare Minerals all offer a birthday freebie when you sign up for their rewards or email list. BareMinerals is typically a lipstick, while Ulta and Sephora switch up their birthday item on the regular.

Now $5 from DSW doesn’t sound like much, but if you’re just signing up they also send you a $10 new user coupon, so that’s potentially $15 free towards your purchase. Not to mention, you can stack that with a 30% off coupon, and really save big on a new of shoes, socks, or other accessories.
As pro-tip – I do recommend signing up all rewards prior to your birthday month. Some of the rewards are grouped into months and others are very specific by the date. As a rule of thumb – sign up now to ensure you get your freebies!
